          This fall soccer season, will be a new beginning for B.Y.S.A. referees. First the U6 program has been moved, to the new B.Y.S.A. fields at Brockton High, behind the Asiaf skating rink. The U6 teams will play 4 vs. 4 with the coaches as referees. This means that there won’t be any U6 games to ref.

 

          The following is the pay scale for all games, at the VA hospital fields;

 

 U8 games, small field, are $8.00 dollars

     U10 games, small field, are $10.00 dollars

    U12 games, full field, are $12.00 dollars *

    U15 games, full field, are $15.00 dollars *

* (I will try to get, whenever possible, a certified referee for these games. Because of the offside rule.)

 

        Referees will get a B.Y.S.A. referee shirt, that will have to be worn, when refereeing B.Y.S.A. games. A watch and a whistle are also needed for all games.

 

          All games are, 25 minute first half with 5 minute rest period, followed by a 25 minute second half. It’s very important all games start on time and end on time, because of the limited parking at the VA.

 

          New this season is the Brockton youth soccer web site. Where you can see, not only what’s going on in the league, but who is scheduled to referee games, for the up coming weekend. To access the web page go to www.brocktonyouthsoccer.com. Then click on Referee Schedule
