BROCKTON WINS BIG IN STATE TOURNEYS

I am proud and happy to report that my U-18 Division 1 Boys team won the Massachusetts State  Soccer Championship yesterday.  Following an undefeated regular season, the Brockton Bulldogs won two playoff games last weekend (June 18-19) to capture the South Shore Soccer League championship.  We then advanced to the State Championship Tournament (in Lancaster) and swept all five games in the State Championship Tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 24-26).  All of those seven post-season, playoff wins were shutout victories.  Our players represented Brockton and BYSA with tremendous distinction and great sportsmanship throughout their run to the championship. 
 
Our U-19 Boys team (Famosi)  had a great Tournament as well.  They advanced to the State Championship game where they were, unfortunately, defeated on penalty kicks. 
The U-16 Boys D-2 squad (Nieves) also qualified for the Tournament and played well in Lancaster.
